Do you want to understand how schools are funded? Please join us on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 6:00 at Groveton High School for a presentation on school finance. Mark Manganiello with the Bureau of School Finance within the New Hampshire Department of Education will discuss the state education funding formula, commonly known as ‘adequacy funding’, and how the formula impacts the districts within SAU 58. Additionally, other areas relating to school finance such as school enrollment and property values trends will be discussed. I hope to see you there!

Stark Village School hosted a brunch for our veterans this morning. Students went above and beyond to decorate the cafeteria in red, white, and blue, creating a warm welcome for our local heroes. Veterans and students sat together, sharing much more than just a meal. It was a special opportunity for our kids to connect with those who served, listening as they shared memories of their time in the military and even stories of their experiences here at SVS. It was a heartwarming day when we had the chance to honor our local servicemen and women. As a reminder, we are still collecting photos of local veterans to display in our school's entryway.

The 5/6th grade Starkies got out to vote, we hope you did too!
Many thanks to Mrs. Peel and the other Stark folks who taught students about the voting process and set up a mock election for them!

Stark Village School Family and Friends,

Dear Stark Family and Friends,
We are fortunate to live in our community, and we do our best to teach the youngest Starkies how lucky they are. We would like to share pictures of local veterans with them to teach them about the brave men and women who came before them. If you would like to share a picture of yourself or your family’s veterans, we will display them in our entryway over the next few weeks. Please include your veteran’s name, their branch of service, and their years of service. Also, please put your name on the back of the picture so we can return it to you safely.
With many thanks,
Stark Village School
