Earlier this week Mrs. Langkau-Gross' students participated in the Mikvak Challenge. We are so proud of our Groveton Eagles who bravely got on their soapbox to speak out about issues they are passionate about. Answering the prompt, "What is the biggest issue facing the community?" students spoke about various issues, such as: mental health, gender inequality, gun violence, appreciating veterans, and banning ethic studies.
They delivered their speeches to an audience of family members, school peers, teachers, administrators, and civic partners. The civic partners were a panel of community members who provided feedback to each student after their speech. The panel this year included: Dr. Roger Brooks (NH Civics Trustee), Gabrielle Flanders (Family Resource Center), Tara Giles (Community Builders Hub), and Betty Tamposi (NH Civics Trustee). We thank everyone for supporting our students. Democracy is a verb! #ProjectSoapBox #MikvaChallenge
